[Audio] Brian McDermott's Ambition To Manage Ireland

Following the dismissal of Giovanni Trapattoni as Ireland manager this morning, there has naturally been much speculation over who will replace the Italian.

One of the names mentioned has been Brian McDermott, who at the time of writing is second favourite on Ladbrokes behind Martin O'Neill, with odds of 8/1. Speaking to RTE Radio in May of last year, the now Leeds manager expressed his ambition to manage the Republic of Ireland football team one day. Listen here:
