Norwich denied Brighton the Championship title at Carrow Road almost exclusively thanks to one of the most bizarrely unfortunate goalkeeping performances ever witnessed.

Brighton 'keeper David Stockdale was twice beaten by two separate strikes by Norwich's Alex Pritchard, but only when the ball rebounded off the woodwork onto his back on both occasions.

In scenes scarcely if ever witnessed on a football pitch, Stockdale scored two near-identical, freak OGs to keep Chris Hughton's side waiting for the title.

Thankfully, the Seagulls confirmed promotion on Monday, but defeat to Norwich keeps alive Newcastle's admittedly slender chances of winning the Championship crown from seven points back with three games remaining.
