Shamrock Rovers have completed double loan deals for former players Graham Burke and Aaron Bolger.
Burke, who was on loan at Rovers last season from Preston, has extended his stay and will remain at the club till June of next year. Bolger will also return to the club till the end of the 2020 season.
The club confirmed the news of the double deals on their website this morning saying;
We are delighted to confirm the extension of Graham Burke’s loan deal from Preston which will see Graham remain with the Hoops until June 2021.
We can also announce the return on loan of Aaron Bolger who will join up with the squad next week. Aaron had a very successful time with the club before his transfer to Cardiff City. The loan will run until the end of the 2020 season.
Bolger moved to Cardiff if in the summer of 2019 after impressing on a 6 months loan deal to the Welsh side. However, since moving to the Championship, he has yet to make a first-team appearance. At the age of 20 there is still plenty of time for the Wicklow native to hit his stride and perhaps the regular game time he will get at Rovers will help further his development.
Burke's extension comes after he made three appearances for Rovers in all competitions last year scoring 6 goals. He was sidelined with a calf injury he picked up in rovers 6-0 victory over Cork City a game he scored five goals in.
Rovers take on Finn Harps at Tallaght Stadium this evening at 5pm.
