BT Sport issued an apology during the Champions League clash between Celtic and Shakhtar Donetsk this evening.

The broadcaster accidentally zoomed in on anti-monarchy flag among the Celtic supporters, which said 'FUCK THE CROWN.' BT Sport commentator, Rob MacLean, duly offered an apology "to anyone offended."

While there was no minute's silence before the match, both sides did wear black armbands as a mark of respect.

In a tweet from the club's official account, they stated: 'Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will be honoured this evening at Ibrox with a minute’s silence, a display created by the Union Bears, and a rendition of the Nation Anthem.
