A training ground bust-up at Celtic has left defender Emilio Izaguirre requiring stitches to his ear. The left back had an altercation with Nadir Ciftci who had taken exception to a tackle the Honduran international had made on him.
Ronny Delia for his part has played down the altercation and stressed that the training-ground incident is something that occurs all the time during training.
The Norwegian manager seemed to be delighted by news of the altercation believing that type of intensity at training can only ever benefit the team.
I always say to my players I want 100% and we have a fantastic atmosphere on the training pitch
Sometimes it gets a little too hot.
This comes just less than a week after Kris Commons threw a tantrum after getting substituted during Celtic's 3-1 loss to Molde in Norway and in his post game comments Delia was very critical of Commons believing that the wingers actions were selfish and disrespectful.
Delia also added that both players had been spoken to and that the matter was now closed. Both players will be available to play against Hearts on Wednesday.
