Jay Beatty, Celtic's number one fan has once again proven that he has the ability to melt even the coldest hearts.

Jay is no stranger to Celtic having had sing alongs with Giorgios Samaras and been presented with an SPL winners medal by Neil Lennon.

10 year old Jay, who has Down's Syndrome, was seeking to repay the favours done for him by Celtic and had thrown his name into the ring for the job before the position was filled. Have a look at his brilliant letter to the club putting his name forward.

The idea to communicate with the bench via walkie talkie is something which Tim Sherwood should have probably considered when he decided to start watching games from the stand at Spurs earlier this year.

Jay was not the only young applicant though with six year old Aiden Headridge also having made himself available. Aiden wrote to Celtic earlier this year conveying his interest in the position and recieved a written reply from Celtic Chief Executive peter Lawwell as you can see in this tweet.

The race between the two for the job was honestly the most interesting thing that happened in Scottish Football this year.
