These days, with so many people around the country struggling under the weight of negative equity, it is heartening to see collective action of any kind to help those burdened by financial concerns.
Well, the news has come to us courtesy of Daily Telegraph football writer Henry Winter that certain charitably minded Chelsea Football Club supporters have decided to stump up for a sometimes impetuous football man who was slapped with a crippling £8,000 fine for some minor indiscretions recently.
#cfc fans angry with Foy's refereeing of Villa game will hold collections before Swansea/Sunderland games to help pay Mourinho's £8,000 fine

Jose Mourinho only earned 14.8 million in his final season with Read Madrid, 2012/13. And it has been reported that he had to take a pay cut when joining Chelsea. The FA decided to ignore this when hitting him with a prohibitive £8,000 fine for running onto the pitch and confronting referee Chris Foy after the sending off of Ramires during Chelsea's defeat at Villa Park, in a decision which took no account of his changed financial circumstances.
So please, keep those donations coming in.
