Ireland forward Chiedozie Ogbene realised a dream of his last night when he put Luton Town 0-1 up in their Premier League clash with Liverpool. As a Reds fan, scoring in Anfield was 'special', despite going on to lose 4-1.

Chiedozie Ogbene's Reputation Continues To Grow

It was another indication of Ogbene's continued improvement this season, which has seen him garner a reputation as a fullback's nightmare. Only recently he was compared by Jamie Carragher to Thierry Henry, whom many consider the greatest Premier League player ever.

After yesterday's game the Corkonian spoke about what it meant to score against the famed club:

Well, you know, I'm a Liverpool fan, so to score against Liverpool is a bit special for me and especially to do it in Anfield. But obviously you can tell from my voice I'm disappointed with the result.

We don't just accept losing against big teams. We were one nil up and we lost 4-1 at the end of the day. So we need to look at the mistakes and why we lost, and hopefully it doesn't happen again.

"I think the first half we started very well, the game plan was carried out efficiently," he added.

"We came out in the second half, we wanted to do the same thing that we done the first half.

"I think they made a few changes, it took us a while to kind of get the understanding of what they were doing.

"Obviously they're a high counter pressing team, and they punished us with the mistakes that we made.

"You know, you always hear about Anfield, but when you're in the moment and they equalise and they start attacking, you really feel what they mean in terms of how difficult it is to come here and get a result."
