Best Squad In Scotland? Chris Sutton Grills Rangers Boss Pedro Caixinha In Tetchy Interview

A double from new signing Alfredo Morelos helped Rangers to a comfortable 3-1 win over Ross County on Sunday afternoon much to the delight of manager Pedro Caixinha, but if he was hoping that the result and performance would make his interview with the BT Sport pundits after the game a little easier, he was mistaken.

Chris Sutton is a man who simply cannot allow someone to say something he disagrees with, and as a result is one of our favourite pundits around, and as soon has Caixinha began talking we saw 'the scowl' on Sutton's face that makes you know he's about to go in.

A comment that the Rangers manager had made claiming that he believed he had the best squad in Scotland was the first thing that Sutton wished to pull Caixinha up on, and the Portuguese was in no mood to discuss it. Celtic fans watching at home would have been punching the air as the club's former striker refused to accept Caixinha's comments.

He even had the green microphone, it really is no mystery as to why Rangers fans hate the sight of Sutton on TV.

That said, the man has a point. Rangers do not have anywhere close to the best squad in Scotland, and it is difficult to think of a Celtic first-player who would not comfortably make their team, but what was Caixinha supposed to say?

Stephen Craigan, Terry Butcher, and Ally McCoist stayed well clear of that one, but those tetchy and uncomfortable situations are where Sutton thrives. A true master of the wind-up.
