UEFA and the Danish Football Association have confirmed that Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen has been 'stabilised' after a medical emergency during the nation's Euro 2020 clash against Finland this evening.

The match was postponed after the player collapsed on the pitch during the first half, receiving medical attention as he was surrounded by his teammates.

Eriksen would leave the pitch on a stretcher, with news soon filtering through that the remainder of the match had been suspended.

Everyone was anxiously awaiting some positive news about the player's condition, with UEFA then confirming that the 29-year old had been 'stabilised' after being transferred to a nearby hospital.

The Danish Football Association soon added that Eriksen was awake and was awaiting further medical tests.

The player's agent would also confirm that he is awake and is able to communicate.
