APOEL Nicosia faced AEL in a match that would decide the league in Cyprus with anything less than a win for APOEL guaranteeing AEL the title.

Cavanman Cillian Sheridan had started the game but the match had to be abandoned at 0-0 in the 51st when firecracker was thrown and went off under the APOEL subs bench and injured a player. Their Brazilian defender, Kaka, required stitches to his head.

It's unclear whether the match will be replayed or AEL will be handed the title, with a decision promised next week.
