Man City made an atrocious start to Saturday's FA Cup semifinal against Liverpool. Konate opened the scoring in the 9th minute while Zack Steffan made a complete mess of a back pass and conceded one of the worst goals you'll ever see to Sadio Mane. It was 3-0 at halftime.

Pep Guardiola declared his interest in winning the FA Cup when he named an XI with seven changes from Wednesday's energy-sapping, highly-emotional trip to Madrid.

Seeing the likes of Zinchenko, Grealish and Steffan starting made it obvious that City are most concerned with winning the Champions League and the Premier League this year.

The howler from the American 'keeper is relevant for Ireland's starting goalkeeper, Gavin Bazunu, who, of course, plays for Man City but is on loan at Portsmouth. Many Ireland - and Man City fans - were tweeting the same thing after the howler.

City certainly does have a decision on its hand now. Steffan has been City's goalkeeper for cup games this season, but his clanger today in such a big fixture will have fans questioning his readiness to play on the biggest stage.

However it's unclear if Buzunu is interested in hanging about to deputise for Ederson. The 20-year-old Irishman will end his loan spell at Pompey next month and his next move is a source of a great interest. This week, it was reported that there is interest in Bazunu from elite clubs in England and on the continent. In the same piece, it was said that Bazunu is mainly interested in being a starting goalkeeper.

The goal Steffan conceded was almost a carbon copy of the goalline theatrics of Ederson in the City-Liverpool game last week. Except last week, Ederson did not concede a goal.

Steffan's positioning on Liverpool's third goal of the half was also scrutinised by fans.

Bazunu was nominated for the League One Player of the Year yesterday, and has sixteen clean-sheets this season, second most in League One.
