Colombia Take Shithousery To New Heights In England Match

Colombia showed tonight in their World Cup knockout match against England that not only are they aware of the dark arts of football, but they are the leading proponents of it.

In the first half viewers were treated to a head butt by Marcos Barrios (that only saw yellow), several yellow cards as well as the sight of a senior coach for the Colombian team shouldering Raheem Sterling as he left the pitch.

The shithousery didn't stop in the first period however, with the Colombian team swarming referee Mark Gieger when the official rightly gave a penalty to England in the second half after Carlos Sanchez practically rode the Tottenham captian after a free kick into the box.

How Gieger stopped himself from himself from sending anyone is beyond me, and footage has since emerged of Johan Mojica kicking up the turf prior to Harry Kane's spot kick:

When Colombia did eventually manage to find a way back into the game deep into injury time in the second half they continued their gamesmanship taking their time walking back to the other side of the pitch, delaying England's tip off.

Throughout the game Jose Pekerman's men seemed overly eager to draw England into a physical and niggly battle but it didn't really work, with Colombia receiving six yellow cards to England's two and in the end England just about clinched the victory on penalties, with Eric Dier's decisive spot kick sending England through to the quarter finals.

But despite England's win, the gamesmanship of the Colombian team was not lost on viewers at home:
