Not happy with just overhyping their own team's chances the English media, namely the Sun, has also seen fit to have a cheap dig at England's opponents Colombia in today's edition of their paper.
The tabloid's front page features a picture of Tottenham striker Harry Kane, draped in an England flag with the headline:
As 3 Lions face nation that gave world Shakira, great coffee an er, other stuff, we say.. GO KANE!

Pretty tasteless stuff and it hasn't gone down well with Colombia's ambassador to the UK. Néstor Osorio Londoño expressed his disappointment at the tabloid for using "such a festive and friendly environment as the World Cup to target a country and continue to stigmatise it with a completely unrelated issue."
A spokesperson for the Sun defended the paper's choice of front page stating it was “suitably light-hearted considering the context” and said they hoped it would have a positive effect on the Colombian coffee industry. Yeah right.
