After almost six years with St. Patrick's Athletic, Conan Byrne has announced that he will be leaving the club after tomorrow's game against Derry City.

A central figure as Pat's laid claim to every domestic honour going, Byrne, who co-presents the Greatest League in the World podcast with Con Murphy, spoke openly about his time with the club, assuring fans that he now is "a Saints supporter for life."

One of the league's most recognisable names, Pat's were quick to thank Conan Byrne for all that he had done whilst playing with the club - this goal one of the moments few Pat's fans will forget in a hurry.

Prompting an emotional response from those who will be sorry to see the 33-year-old winger depart, fans from all around the country were quick to pay their tributes to such a League of Ireland stalwart.

Quick to point out amid the tributes that he was actually staying in the game, some are already speculating where the free-agent to be may wind up next.

Leaving an indelible mark on the fans at Richmond Park, Conan Byrne had a lovely, straight-forward message for those he will be leaving behind tomorrow night.

Sure to get a massive send-off as St. Patrick's Athletic close off their season, few would be as deserving.
