Daniel Sturridge looks like he will miss at least another match with knee trouble in what is the latest in a long line of injuries.
Sturridge returned to the Liverpool team in spectacular fashion a few weeks ago, with two goals against Aston Villa but has missed the last two matches because of fluid on his knee.
Ahead of their clash with Southampton, Jurgen Klopp told reporters:
On Friday, we have another treatment and another screening maybe because there is a little bit of fluid.
It is not much better at this moment.
However, given that the match isn't until Sunday, Klopp was slightly hopeful he might feature but the news doesn't sound good 'We have to proceed day-by-day. If he can train completely normal it is an option. Because the break is not so long now then not maybe as a starter but he's an option [for the squad].
Poor auld Sturridge is becoming a bit of a Darren Anderton.
