We never thought we'd literally see the day when a defender begs Neymar not to unleash a piece of outrageous skill. Not even in a charity football match.
Last night in Sao Paulo there was a charity football match in honour of the Chapecoense crash victims, and there were several big Brazilian football names togging out for the match which also involved TV and music stars. Kaka, Robinho, Gabriel Jesus and Luan played in the game alongside Neymar. The proceeds from the match all went to the children's foundation launched by Neymar, the Neymar Jr. Project Institute.
The Barcelona forward grabbed four goals during the game, but perhaps the most hilarious moment came when Neymar absolutely destroyed some beleaguered opposition defender, despite the poor critter literally getting down on his knees and begging for mercy when he found himself stranded one-on-one with Neymar.
It's an unenviable position to find oneself in, and we're not sure what exactly we would do in the same scenario. Perhaps the most cruel aspect of it all is how Neymar reassures his opponent, like a cat toying with a mouse, that all will be well - before making him look like an absolute numpty.
Ridiculous skill. It almost makes one nauseous trying to follow it.
