Watch: Didi Hamann Barely Held Back The Eamon Dunphy-Aimed Giggles

Didi Hamann tries not to laugh after a fairly amusing slip of the tongue by RTE soccer panel colleague Eamon Dunphy after the Champions League last night.

The RTE soccer panel is a unique institution within Irish sporting and cultural life. Even with the sad passing of Bill O'Herlihy and the departure of John Giles from the panel, the presence of Eamon Dunphy and Liam Brady as well as Didi Hamann's seamless transition into the set-up means it has retained its eccentric and unique charm.

This charm lends itself to parody, as Apres Match has so brilliantly demonstrated, but sometimes the panel provides comedy gold entirely of its own accord. Like a moment during the Champions League coverage last night.

After Barcelona (eventually) eased past a brave Celtic side, highlights were shown of the numerous other games over the course of Tuesday and Wednesday including Arsenal's draw with PSG.

Andros Townsend's long-lost cousin Lucas Moura scored the equaliser for PSG but it was deflected into the net not by Alex Iwobi, but by Alex Ewoki, according to Eamon Dunphy. We can only assume he's related to these little fellas.

But the best bit is Didi Hamann, trying gamely to suppress his mirth. He's probably well used to it at this stage, in fairness.
