A tidy Gonzalo Higuaín finish after a backheel-heavy, flowing Juventus move gave the Italian giants the half-time lead in Monaco, but the scourge of otherwise highly-regarded Latin American players the world over still wasn't overly impressed.

Last time Juve were shown on RTÉ, Eamon Dunphy described the club's record signing as "an expensive donkey" much to viewers' disbelief, and he opted to back up his previous criticism when Darragh Maloney asked him if he'd changed his tune on the Argentine striker.

Dunphy's hypothesis was that Higuaín, in spite of his 23 Serie A goals this season, is 'not an impressive player at this level'.

Moments later, Higuaín added he and Juve's second goal to all but kill the tie and send Juventus to another Champions League final.

Dunphy concluded with a chuckle at full-time:

Let's take back the snide remarks about Higuaín and let him enjoy his bowl of pasta tonight!
