With the signings of Alexis Mac Allister and Dominic Szoboszlai already secured, it looks likely that the Liverpool midfield will undergo even further changes in the days and weeks ahead.

While it was always expected that the club would make a number of additions in that position during the current window, few would have predicted the scale of the potential outgoings from Anfield. Naby Keita, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Arthur Melo are among the first team midfielders to have already left the club.

While that quartet was a predictable one, it was not foreseen that Jordan Henderson and Fabinho would also join the list. However, it seems like that will be the case as both players edge closer to moves to Saudi Arabia.

That pair have clearly been attracted by the offer of the vast riches on offer in the Middle East, although the deals have yet to be finalised. With that in mind, it appears as though one club is monitoring the situation closely.

Sky Germany are reporting that Bayern Munich are keeping a close on Fabinho's situation, with the club considering making a move of their own to sign the Liverpool midfielder.

The Brazilian is thought to have agreed personal terms with Saudi side Al-Ittihad, with a £40million bid also said to have been accepted by his current club. Despite this, the pace of the deal has slowed in recent days.

It had been thought that an official announcement would come a couple of days ago, although that did not materialise. As a result, Bayern are said to be ready to pounce should an opportunity arise to make a move for Fabinho.

The German champions are undergoing a mini rebuild of their own this summer. They are keen to sign Harry Kane from Spurs, while also reportedly being open to bids for mainstays in the side such as Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka.

It will certainly be an interesting summer in Bavaria, although it remains to be seen if they have left their move for the Liverpool midfielder too late.
