Fabio Borini And Adnan Januzaj Heavily Linked With Premier League Moves

Fabio Borini and Adnan Januzaj will be teaming up in the Premier League this season if Dick Advocaat gets his way. The Sunderland boss is attempting to tie up loan moves for the pair after his side's poor start to the season saw them resoundingly beaten by Leicester in the opening game of the season.

Sunderland's first choice strikers, Jermaine Defoe and Steven Fletcher, both grabbed consolation goals in the 4-2 defeat. However, Advocaat wants to add to his options up front and Borini is top of the list to rejoin Sunderland two years after he began his first loan spell at the club.

The Italian was a big hit during his first spell on Wearside scoring seven important goals to help keep the club in the Premier League. Sunderland were keen on making his loan spell permanent last summer, even having a £14 million bid accepted by Liverpool.

That move collapsed after Borini chose to stay and fight for his place at Anfield, a fight that it would be fair to say he resoundingly lost. Now, that it's been made clear he has no future with Liverpool, Sunderland have made moves to get him back on another loan deal. The Italian international had been linked with a Serie A return with Fiorentina but the opportunity to stay in the Premier League could be enough to tempt him back for another loan spell.

If he does take up that opportunity, he could be lining up alongside Adnan Januzaj in the Sunderland attack. Adam Johnson is out for two months and Advocaat is making moves to bring in a temporary replacement. Top of his list is the Man United winger who would be allowed to leave Old Trafford on loan if Louis Van Gaal can tie up a deal for Pedro before the end of the transfer window.

Two young, hungry players with Premier League experience and something to prove? If the deals can be sorted out, Sunderland could be on to a real winner with these two.

Having said that we're not sure if Januzaj is completely on board.
