Cesc Fabregas' move to Monaco has reportedly been put on hold, as Chelsea look to find a replacement for the 31-year-old midfielder.

Fabregas has already agreed a three year deal with Theirry Henry's side, who currently lie in 19th position in Ligue 1 after a wretched first half of the season, having only won three times in 18 games.

Chelsea are though to want to bring Cagliari midfielder Nicola Barella to Stamford Bridge to replace the outgoing Fabregas, with the Italian valued by the Serie A side at £45 million.

Zenit St. Petersburg's Leandro Paredes has also been linked with a move to the Blues.

Meanwhile Belgium midfielder Moussa Dembele looks to have played his last game for Spurs after the London club accepted an £11 million bid from Chinese Super League Beijing Guoan.

Dembele has struggled with injuries over the past few seasons, and with the 31-year-old's contract up at the end of the season Mauricio Pochettino has decided to cash in on his asset instead of losing him for free at the end of the season.

In other transfer news, Jurgen Klopp has rubbished suggestions that he is set to dip his toe into the transfer market following any injury to Dejan Lovren against Wolves on Monday night.

The Croatian pulled up in the opening minutes of his side's third round FA Cup tie, adding to Liverpool's defensive headaches following injuries to Joel Matip, Joe Gomez, with Virgil Van Dijk also currently out of action with a slight knock:

[Van Dijk] cannot play; he is at home and hopefully it is nothing, but he has played all the games so far, so we had to try to find a solution for that – and we found it, hopefully, with Fabinho.
