Republic of Ireland U21 International Festy Ebosele looks set for a move this January transfer window.

The Derby County man is reportedly set to make way as part of a bid to raise funds for the Championship club that have entered administration.

According to a report from Daniel Taylor of The Athletic, the 19-year old is being touted by 'at least three clubs from Germany' as well as 'others from Italy.'

Taylor says the clubs 'have registered a firm interest in a player who can operate either as a right-sided defender or winger.' Ebosele will be out of contract at the end of the season.

It follows reports that Derby had rejected a £500,000 bid for the former Bray Wanderers man earlier this month from Nottingham Forest.

The U21 international has made eighteen appearances for Derby in the Championship this season. The versatile winger has played mostly at right-back or right-midfield.

He scored his first goal for the senior side in November after being on the books at The Rams since 2018. Ebosele also featured for Derby in the EFL Cup and FA Cup this season.

Derby Transfer Woes

It'll be disappointing news for many Derby County fans to see some of their finest young talents leave the club. 18-year-old defender Dylan Williams has left for Chelsea.

Academy player Jordan Brown is another name leaving Pride Park this January transfer window. He's signed a contract with Leyton Orient.

It comes as the EFL will hold an emergency meeting to discuss the future of Derby as they face liquidation without a new owner.

The EFL says 'positive developments' have taken place, despite the fact other Championship clubs have made attempts to block potential takeovers.

Derby must prove their financial status to the EFL and their appointed administrators. Proof of sustainable finances will be required by February 1st, according to Sky Sports.

The EFL says the search for a new owner is the priority and once that takes place, they should be able to come to a resolution.
