Five Serie A Fixtures Postponed Due To Coronavirus

Italian football authorities have announced that five of this weekend's Serie A fixtures have been postponed due to the Coronavirus.

The affected games are AC Milan v Genoa, Udinese v Fiorentina, Parma v Spal, Sassuolo v Brescia and the huge clash between Juventus and Inter in Turin.

Original plans to play the games behind closed doors have now been scrapped and the fixtures have been rescheduled for 13th May.

This follows the outbreak of Covid-19 that has had a major impact on parts of Italy as an increasing number of cases are reported around the world.

Earlier this week the IRFU confirmed that the Ireland v Italy Six Nations match, originally scheduled for next weekend, has been postponed following advice from the Department of Health.

As concern for the spread of the Coronavirus grows, there are reports that Premier League officials are closely monitoring the situation as it relates to the rest of the season in England.
