French news outlets were  in disbelief at how Argentina celebrated their World Cup win last night against Panama, and the ongoing trolling about the World Cup final.

This was Argentina's first home game since they were crowned champions last December, as they welcomed Panama in a friendly in Buenos Aires.

Estadio Monumental was sold out with more than 83,00 fans present for the friendly.

It was with no surprise that the home team dominated the game. They won 2-0 thanks to goals from Thiago Almada in the 78th minute and Lionel Messi in the 89th minute. This was Messi's 800th professional goal.

Controversial Celebrations

After the full time whistle, Lionel Scaloni's men gathered in the centre of the pitch to celebrate their World Cup victory with their fans.

Each players were given a replica of the trophy. Five players including Aston Villa's goalkeeper did that infamous golden glove celebration Emiliano Martinez did when he got the golden glove trophy handed in Qatar. All five of them put their cups in between their legs whilst laughing.

French sports media outlet RMC Sport posted a tweet with the caption "c'est plus fort que lui" meaning "it was stronger than him". That summed up pretty well what the French think of Emiliano Martinez: an idiot.

Argentinian striker Lautaro Martinez, thought that it would also be a great idea to sing a little song. Therefore all the fans and players in the stadium started singing "a minute of silence for Brazil who are dead; a minute of silence for France that are dead".

That song is a reference to Emiliano Martinez's chant in the dressing rooms following victory over France in the World Cup final. He sang "one minute of silence for Kylian Mbappe who is dead" whilst going around the dressing room dancing with players around him.

Big French newspapers such as Le Figaro and Le Parisen qualified last night celebrations as "very sad" and "vulgar".

Not the first time Emiliano Martinez is in a celebration scandal

When Argentina soccer team returned home to Buenos Aires after winning the world cup, Martinez was in another celebration scandal.

As planned, thousand of Argentinians would come to the streets to welcome, greet and congratulate their champions. Argentina's soccer team would go on a bus tour around the capital to show the people the trophy. It was a nice fun enjoyable moment for everyone there.

However, the French were very unhappy and shocked (again) about what Martinez did to their national treasure Kylian Mbappe.

Martinez printed a photo of Mbappe's face and stuck it on a doll. He did the whole parade with an Mbappe doll in his hands smiling to the crowd.

RMC Sport reacted to that saying that Martinez's celebration on the bus was "obscene". A twitter account called L'espoir du football followed by 143 thousand followers posted a video of the goalkeeper's celebration. He added the caption: "Mais c'est encore pire en vidéo ce que fait Martinez avec la poupée Mbappé en fait". This caption was followed by an emoji that pukes. It means: "it's even worse in video with that Mbappe doll"

We can be sure that Emiliano Martinez won't be looking for any transfer move in France after those incidents.
