Last night one of football's most handsome men, Ricky Kaka, voiced his desire to leave Real Madrid for regular first team football. The words "El club sabe que me gustaria salir" speak for themselves. With a return to either Milan or Sao Paolo the most likely outcome, it hasn't stopped the Daily Star proclaiming a move to United or Arsenal is imminent. If the unexpected does come off however, more goals like these in England every week will be most welcome.

Having missed out on a host of midfielders, including Cesc Fabregas, Thiago Alcantara, perhaps Mesut Ozil and maybe now Kaka, United have turned their attention to Athletic Bilbao's Ander Herrara, believe the Daily Mail. The Basque midfieler featured prominently at Old Trafford a couple of years ago in the Europa League when Athletic beat United. A £25 million bid has already been rejected apparently.

Former Irish goalkeeper and current Aston Villa substitute Shay Given may be on his way to Liverpool, where he would also serve as a substitute to Simon Mignolet. Get your head around that one. Maybe it's his boyhood club?

Samuel Eto'o has been presented to the media today, with his new Chelsea shirt in tow. His opening gambit was to proclaim "I’d rather sell groundnuts in my village than to play for a pathetic team like Chelsea." (via 101greatgoals). The Cameroonian's arrival may spell the end of Fernando Torres' presence in the Premier League, according to the Mirror. If El Niño does venture back to Madrid for example, all these memories will still live long in the memory.
