Galway United prevailed 2-0 against UCD last Friday night at Deacy Park, with strikes from Eoin McCormack and Ryan Connolly sealing a win which sees the Tribesmen in third position, level on points with Drogheda and Finn Harps but still trailing first place UCD by five.

Galway United's first goal came as the result of a free kick from McCormack, with the ball bouncing fortuitously off of the UCD keepers head before bouncing into the net.
