Giovanni Trapattoni - His belated introduction of Marc Wilson paid off. His continued use of Simon Cox remains baffling as does his treatment of Shane Long. 5/10.

Kieran Westwood - Compatent without being truly dominant of his area. 6/10.

Seamus Coleman - Bright, committed and assured in possession. Incredible that this was only his second competitive start. 7/10.

John O'Shea - Culpabale for the goal. Remains the Robin to Richard Dunne's Batman. 4/10.

Darren O'Dea - A couple of strong blocks and coped with what was meek opposition. Terrific header 6/10.

Marc Wilson - Steady in possession and solid in his defending. Lovely bit of skill and decent strike for his goal. 7/10

Robbie Brady - Showed flashes of his abilty but only given a half to impress. 5/10

Keith Andrews - Worked hard as ever, but missed a glorious chance early and was sloppy at times. 6/10

James McCarthy - Pressed hard and showed his class. Will be better for the experience this week. 7/10.

Aiden McGeady - The final ball was better to go with the step-overs. Still took the wrong choice on occasion. 6/10

Jon Walters - Worked hard, made some intelligent runs and deserved his goal. 7/10

Robbie Keane - Anonymous for the most part. Fitness may have been an issue but he's an increasingly fading force at this level. 4/10

Simon Cox - Stuck wide right, struggled to make an impact. 5/10.
