The world number one international side Belgium come to Ireland this weekend as they face Stephen Kenny's Republic of Ireland side at the Aviva Stadium in an international friendly. It may only be a friendly but it's a chance for Kenny to keep the momentum that was built last year going and maybe even try out some new names. Ireland host Belgium in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday 26th March and kick-off is at 5pm.

Match Preview
There wasn't many new call-ups to Stephen Kenny's 25 man squad as St. Mirren's Connor Ronan and Oxford United midfielder Mark Sykes received their first call-up to the Ireland squad. One surprising call up however was Birmingham City striker Scott Hogan. Hogan hasn't been called up since 2019 and his inclusion meant that on-form Swansea forward Michael Obafemi was excluded.
The only injury news from the camp since the squad announcement is that Blackburn Rovers defender Darragh Lenihan has torn his groin and will miss both games in this international window. He has returned to Blackburn to continue his rehab.
Roberto Martinez has selected a very experimental and inexperienced squad for this international break. He has selected 15 players with 10 caps or fewer, including four who could make their international debut. The player with the highest profile in the squad is probably Thorgan Hazard, brother of Eden who in his own right has been playing very well for Borussia Dortmund in recent seasons.
