Martin O'Neill has named his squad for the World Cup qualifier against Austria in Vienna on November 12th.
Andy Boyle and Daryl Horgan - two of the heroes of Dundalk's Europa League campaign - have been included.
The squad is short on regular options up front as Shane Long and Daryl Murphy are ruled out through injury. A reflection of this paucity is that more goalkeepers, five, than forwards, four, have been named in the 35.

Brentford's Scott Hogan - joint second top scorer in the Championship - would have been a welcome addition given the lightness on strikers. Last month, Brentford teammate and Ireland international Alan Judge said that he believed Hogan wanted to play for Ireland. Though, due to only having returned from long-term injury late last season, may feel that a move into international football, at the moment, comes a little too early for him.
John O'Shea, Stephen Ward and James McCarthy - despite being injury doubts - have been included.

The squad will be trimmed down in the days prior to the match on Saturday week.
After three games in Group D, Ireland sit in second place on seven points just behind Serbia on goal difference.
