We're not sure if anyone has mentioned it but Euro 2016 is starting today. It's a rather big deal around these parts and not just for the absolute glory of being able to bask in a month of major tournament football. That's all well and good of course but, as tends to happen, Ireland's participation this year brings with it a few extra benefits for this fair country and its population.

Namely it gives us the chance to show the rest of Europe how to really do fandom. We're basing this off no previous experience, research or knowledge but there's surely no other country in the world with fans who do this kind of thing like it's a normal, acceptable part of following your country.

And before we get on to this mighty steed of Euro 2016 transport, we need to do a roll call.

Andy Bennett, Brian Cullen, Aidan McGuinness, Eóin O'Donoghue, Conor Phelan, Gary Kelly, Sean Gallagher, Dara Keogan and last but not least Kevin Johnson. These heroic individuals managed to wrangle together the greatest vehicle known to man and they're bringing it to France for one hell of a party.

We'll leave aside the fact that they already have two of the best flags we've seen so far and just look at the inside of that magnificent thing. If you want the full spec, there's eight beds, two toilets, a sitting room downstairs and there's even air conditioning installed.

It may well be the most beautiful thing we've ever seen. And if you're making your way to France this weekend, keep an eye out for the McGrath-mobile and pass on the respect of the entire country to these noble and distinguished travellers.

And a big thanks to Kevin Johnson for sharing the photos with our Euro 2016 Facebook group (which you can still join).

UPDATE: Just in case we needed anymore reason to love the man, Paul McGrath himself has given bus his official blessing ahead of Saturday morning's journey.
