Erling Haaland took his tally to 19 goals for the season with a brace against Copenhagen in the Champions League on Wednesday evening. It would almost certainly have been more had the 22-year-old not been replaced at half-time by Cole Palmer.

"It’s unbelievable honestly," Jack Grealish told BT Sport about his Manchester City teammate after the game.

"I’ve never witnessed anything like it in my life. For the first and second goals I was just laughing. I was just like, 'How?' He is always there, he's always finishing it. It's a pleasure to play with him at the moment.

Jack Grealish: Erling Haaland 'so humble'

"When I was walking back after one of the goals, maybe the third one, the keeper said something to me. He said ‘He’s not human!’ I was like, 'Bro, I know, you’re telling me?’

"He's so humble. He's great around the place. That's not just me bigging him up. That's the God's honest truth. Hopefully he can carry on this form and fire us to glory.”

Grealish has started all three of City's victories in the Champions League this season, along with their last two in the Premier League.

"Playing in the Champions League at the Etihad is always a good feeling," said Grealish.

"To come away with a 5-0 win, three wins out of three in our group. It was a great night.

"I’m loving it. My last three or four games I feel back to myself. I am playing with that sort of freedom and confidence.

"It would help if I got on the scoresheet, I was desperate tonight, especially in that second half, but it’s all about enjoying it and winning.

"When the luck isn’t with you… The fifth goal, was it an own goal? So I didn't get the assist for that!

"I'm going through one of those patches where nothing will fall. I’ve played a lot of games recently so I’m thankful to the manager for that. I’m playing with a smile on my face and feel like I’m settling in now."
