Jack Wilshere Absolutely Loves Ireland International Harry Arter

It can't be long until Harry Arter becomes subject of the same cliche as Seamus Coleman. Though, maybe he already has in the south of England. You may have heard that Coleman cost Everton just £60,000. It's a pity no one ever mentions it.

Bournemouth paid just £5,000 for the Ireland international from Woking six years ago when the club was in League One. He has progressed through the divisions with the club.

Over the weekend, Arter's performance likely means you'll be hearing more about that £5,000 from the pub bore. He was variously described as magnificent, inspirational and outstanding as Bournemouth upset the in-form Everton at Dean Court.

Jack Wilshere praises Harry Arter

Arter's temporary teammate Jack Wilshere had plenty of praise for the 26-year-old. Wilshere has been at Bournemouth for less than a month, Saturday was just his third appearance for the club, but already he is mightily impressed with Arter.

He told the Mirror:

He is definitely up there with some of the midfielders I’ve played with.

I have played with some top midfielders but it says a lot about a player when you are not at a big club like Arsenal and you are putting in performances like that.

If he wants to, I’m sure he could go onto bigger clubs. But I’m sure he is enjoying his time at Bournemouth - the fans love him, the manager loves him and he’s got everyone’s respect at the club.

He is going to be important for us if we want to climb up the table.

Wilshere believes Arter's tenaciousness on the pitch makes him the worst type of opponent to play against - one who never gives you an inch.

You see with a player like Ross Barkley, Harry didn’t give him a second. He didn’t let him turn, he didn’t let him do his stuff and I’m sure if you ask Ross he will say they are the worst type of players to play against. You hate them.

You turn and he is there. You think you have beaten him and he comes back at you, so it is horrible to play against.
