'Thankfully I'm not allowed to swear, because I'd like to swear after seeing that second half.'

It's safe to say that Jamie Carragher captured the mood of many Liverpool fans last night. 3-0 ahead at half-time, a spirited Sevilla comeback saw the Spaniards reduce the deficit and share the spoils with Liverpool again.

Now looking into matchday six, still uncertain of their fate, Carragher, who was working on Norwegian television for last night's match, could scarcely find the words to describe what had happened.

While he concedes that the trip to Seville was always going to be difficult, that Liverpool proceeded to throw away their three-goal advantage left the Liverpool legend baffled and annoyed:

To be 3-0 up, and to see how Liverpool gave the goals away, and the actual game intelligence ... it was like watching children play in that second half.

Giving stupid free kicks away that lift the crowd, lift the players, let the referee give yellow cards ... two of the goals from set pieces and another foul they give away was a stupid penalty in the box.

Sparing nobody's blushes as Liverpool again failed to see out a match against Sevilla from a seemingly comfortable position, Carragher believes that last night's performance only served to enhance the reality that Liverpool 'still need a new left-back'.

Characterising Alberto Moreno's errors as 'unbelievable' for a Champions League player to commit, it would seem that Liverpool have yet to address many of the issues that have plagued Jurgen Klopp's side for a number of years now.
