As part of his work with Sky Sports, Jamie Carragher was at Everton's training ground on Tuesday to film with Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku.

From the clips that have been teased so far it looks to be similar to when the former Liverpool man took on current star Sadio Mane in a footrace, but while on that occasion Carragher, to his detriment, raced in a pair of jeans, this time he was more appropriately dressed for the occasion...

And some Liverpool fans aren't happy, as Carragher was wearing Everton training gear.

Although he grew up as an Everton fan, Carragher is very much a red so he will no doubt have expected the reaction that inevitably came his way.

This prompted Carragher to explain himself, and it turns out that he caved from pressure from Duncan Ferguson as well as Lukaku, which is entirely fair enough.

In all seriousness, nobody is actually upset at Carragher wearing Everton training gear, and if they are... Well, then they've got far more pressing issues to worry about.

Before the full feature is released by Sky, we were given a sneak peak that shows why it's a good thing that Carragher hung up his boots when he did, as Lukaku breezed past him with ease.

We're looking forward to the full thing, as judging by the Mane version, we're expecting Carragher to find some ways to level the playing field.
