Joey Barton's 13-month ban for breaching betting rules also counts for charity matches.
The former Burnley man offered his services to play in a forthcoming charity match at Loftus Road for the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.
Scheduled to take place in early September, the game will see the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Alan Shearer, David Seaman and Paul Merson dust off their boots to raise money for those affected by the June disaster.
Also a former QPR player, Barton offered to play in the match which is being held at Loftus Road but was told by organisers he would not be allowed due to the game being organised by the FA.

Barton was told in an e-mail before the game was announced on Friday morning that he would be ineligible to play.
Unfortunately, the game is to be an FA sanctioned game, and to that end they have informed me that you will not be allowed to play in it due to your current ban.
I just wanted to say that I am personally very sad about this and I am also incredibly grateful to you for the generous offer of your time - particularly on your birthday.
I am truly sorry this hasn't worked out as I was really looking forward to having you there.
While the midfielder's ban was reduced by five months on Thursday, it seems the FA are not in a charitable mood in allowing the former England international to compete in the match, despite it being for a worthy cause.
