An Unnecessary Photo Tribute To John Aldridge's Moustache

An Unnecessary Photo Tribute To John Aldridge's Moustache

I recently rediscovered one of the great Irish sports photos of all time. It's a snap of John Aldridge celebrating after scoring this goal against Portugal in a Euro 96 qualifier.

There's much to love about the pic; the Aldridge celebration, the head of hair on Couto  - not to mention his complete look of despondence - and of course John Sheridan looking about 50 but still delighted with life.
