Every single year when the PFA player of the year and team of the year awards roll around, complaints over the one or two players that had an excellent season and were snubbed flood social media, but it's hard to argue when the votes come from the players who are playing against these guys week in week out.

John Terry has today shown his Instagram followers his personal selections for player of the year, young player of the year, and team of the year, while also showing exactly how it's done.

For the most part, the selections are fair enough, and mostly Leicester, but there are a few strange selections in there too, namely Chris Smalling at right back having not played a single game there this season.

Ryan Bertrand, a former teammate of Terry's at Chelsea, is another eyebrow raiser at left-back, as surely Danny Rose of Tottenham or even Christian Fuchs of Leicester are more deserving, although perhaps he didn't want to essentially put the whole Leicester team in.
