Having raced out to a 3-0 lead, England's first-half display against Spain in tonight's UEFA Nations League some something behold. It wasn't too long into the second 45-minutes that cracks began to show - Jordan Pickford guilty of what really ought to have resulted in a red-card and penalty for the hosts.
Instrumental in his distribution, the Everton 'keeper's quick balls forward had given England the impetus to open up their early lead.
However, with Spain grabbing a quick goal back early into the second-half, some of that composure began to slip.
Faced with a seemingly simple ball back to his feet, Jordan Pickford made things altogether more difficult for himself.
What was Pickford thinking!? π
He somehow doesn't give away a penalty after losing the ball in his own box! Correct call? π€

A penalty? Surely. A red card? Perhaps. Either way, England fans knew their 'keeper had been let away with a really horrendous error here.

It also drew a timely reminder to the Everton 'keeper's choice comments about Liverpool's #1.
