Formula One driver Lando Norris was one of the victims of Sunday's fan chaos outside Wembley after the Euro 2020 final. McLaren Racing has confirmed he was involved in an altercation.

Norris was reportedly mugged after the match, with a £40,000 Richard Mille watch being the target for unruly fans. Thankfully he wasn't harmed during the incident.

The 21-year-old was ambushed by thugs as he got into his McLaren GT Supercar after the match. An eyewitness said, "Lando was held and another robber pulled off his watch in a split second. Lando looked pretty shaken up."

Earlier in the day, Norris had posted a photo on social media of himself at the match.

London Metropolitan Police made 86 arrests after the final after Wembley descended into fan chaos. Reports have suggested hundreds of fans made their way into the stadium without tickets.

Some friends and families of the team were affected by the riots, including Harry Kane, John Stones, Raheem Sterling and Harry Maguire. Fans who paid big money for tickets found thugs in their seats unwilling to move.

McLaren racing released a statement confirming the news and that Lando Norris was not harmed:

"McLaren Racing can confirm that Lando Norris was involved in an incident, after the Euro 2020 final match at Wembley, during which the watch he was wearing was taken."

"Thankfully, Lando was unharmed but he is understandably shaken. The team is supporting Lando and we are sure that racing fans will join us in wishing him all the best for the British Grand Prix this weekend."
