There is no shortage of promising young Irish talent at Brighton at the moment. Aaron Connolly is an important first team player at the club, while Jayson Molumby is highly rated by Brighton despite being recently sent out on loan to Preston.

Bohemians forward Evan Ferguson, who at 16-years old already has a number of League of Ireland appearances under his belt, also recently made a move to the south of England.

Then you have Warren O'Hora. Another former Bohemians player, he was named Brighton's Young Player of the Season for the 2019/20 campaign having starred for the club's U23 side.

Now 21-years old, he has spent the last few months on loan at League One side MK Dons. He has earned rave reviews in the process, making 17 appearances in all competitions.

MK Dons are certainly delighted with his form, with the club now wanting to make the defender's stay a permanent one.

Their manager Russell Martin has revealed that they have submitted a bid to Brighton to sign the player this month.

We are trying to make it permanent.

Warren has shown what a capable player he can be, he's really improved, his mentality and attitude into developing himself and buying into what we're trying to do is brilliant.

I love his character, and for a young lad he's a real leader. Of course, we'd love to make him ours and not just have him on loan.

Brighton have been great in letting him out on loan, and recognising Warren wants to progress and kick on, play regularly and call somewhere his home.

Hopefully we're getting close to being able to do that.

It remains to be seen if Brighton would be open to allowing O'Hora to leave on a permanent basis, but he has yet to make a first team appearance at the Amex.
