Leeds United Supporters Are Getting Fairly Sick Of Patrick Bamford

There are a few clubs that have a propensity to make a balls of things, even when everything seems to be going their way. Leeds United are certainly one such club.

We all remember their glorious collapse in the Championship last season that cost them promotion, and they were up to their old tricks once again this afternoon.

Leeds were seemingly cruising to a win over Derby County, and while they only held a 1-0 lead, they were very comfortable. Their lead should have been much higher as well, having squandered a number of golden opportunities. They even missed a penalty.

Of course, Derby would go on to score an injury time equaliser with their only shot on target in the entire game. Classic Leeds.

While he was not on the pitch at the time of the equaliser, one man has taken much of the blame for this result.

Patrick Bamford played 79 minutes up front, and he missed a couple of chances. A lot of chances in fact. What's worse, he was selected ahead of the red hot Eddie Nketiah.

After the final whistle sounded, Leeds fans were quick to voice their frustrations with the player.

Republic of Ireland fans have been keeping a close on Bamford ever since it was reported he could switch his international allegiances, but it is fair to say the majority would rather he stay away from the squad.

He is a divisive character, with his playacting and arrogance rubbing many people the wrong way. If he continues to spurn opportunities at this rate, he would certainly be no loss.
