Liverpool and their fans can breathe a sigh of relief tonight after they defeated Leicester City 3-2 at the King Power stadium after a run of four games without a win.

Liverpool started the game brightly and were rewarded after 15 minutes when Coutinho provided a beautiful cross on the left wing for Mohamed Salah to head home from a tight angle. Things got better for Liverpool eight minutes later when Coutinho reminded everyone what he was capable of as he curled home a stunning free kick from 30 yards that put the Reds in the driving seat.

However, just before half time Shinji Okazaki scored from a corner thanks to a mistake from Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.

Jordan Henderson put Liverpool 3-1 up after 68 minutes but the two goal lead barely even lasted a minute when Jamie Vardy was first to react to an extremely poor parry from Mignolet and the English striker headed home from close range to make it 3-2.

As if the Belgian goalkeeper's relationship with Liverpool fans couldn't get any worse, he clattered into Vardy in the box five minutes later, giving away a penalty. Luckily for Liverpool they appear to have a penalty saving specialist, as he saved Vardy's attempt from the spot.
