Liverpool look set to miss out on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, despite confirmation that the Georgian star will leave Napoli this month.
The highly-rated 23-year-old was one of the stars of Napoli's Scudetto-winning campaign in 2022-23, and has been consistently linked with a move away from Naples in the years since.
Talk of a move away has ramped up this month, with several of Europe's biggest clubs linked with a move for the Georgian winger.
Among those linked with a move for Kvaratskhelia are Premier League leaders Liverpool, who appeared keen to bolster their attacking ranks with the signing of the Napoli star. Some reports had even suggested a sensational prospective swap deal that would see Federico Chiesa and Darwin Nunez heading the other direction.
Napoli manager Antonio Conte confirmed on Saturday that Kvaratskhelia is set to leave Napoli this month but, according to reports, Liverpool will not be his destination.

PSG leading Liverpool in hunt for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
At a press conference on Saturday, Conte confirmed that Liverpool target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has handed in a transfer request and is set to leave the club 'immediately.'
Kvaratskhelia has asked to leave the club. I spoke to Khvicha and he confirmed his plan to leave the club immediately.
I tried to convince Kvaratskhelia to stay but he has decided to go and try a new chapter. The club and his agent will now find the solution...I can't keep Kvara here if he doesn't want to stay.

The quotes will have had Liverpool fans on red alert, with Kvaratskhelia heavily linked with a move to Anfield in recent weeks.
However, it appears as though the Georgian star is Paris-bound, with PSG set to snap up Kvaratskhelia.
The news was shared by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano on Saturday afternoon, who suggested that the French giants have agreed "every term" of their contract with Kvaratskhelia. Negotiations with Napoli are reportedly all that remain to confirm the winger's arrival in Paris.

It is a blow for Liverpool, for whom the acquisition of Kvaratskhelia would have majorly boosted their ongoing Premier League title charge.
However, with Mo Salah still in firing form and the likes of Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz enjoying impressive campaigns, Arne Slot will hope the firepower at his disposal will see them over the line.
