As Liverpool saw out their comfortable recent win at St Mary's, Jurgen Klopp elected to bring Dejan Lovren and Adam Lallana off the bench for the final stages, much to the ire of the Saints' fans. Lovren and Lallana joined Sadio Mane, Virgil Van Dijk, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in appearing against their former side. Those who thought that Jurgen Klopp had a sense of humour half-expected him to give Nathaniel Clyne the last few minutes on crutches.

That didn't happen, and, remarkably, Liverpool are reportedly keen to sign yet another player from Southampton according to reports in France today.

L'Equipe are reporting that Liverpool are interested in reinforcing their midfield with Mario Lemina, whom Southampton signed from Juventus in the summer. The French outlet are reporting that Klopp and Liverpool are monitoring Lemina ahead of the summer transfer window, as they seek another midfield recruit to go along with the incoming Naby Keita. It is widely expected that Emre Can will move to Juventus in the summer.

L'Equipe also link Arsenal with the Gabon midfielder, who has impressed on occasion for Southampton amid a wretched season.

Liverpool have also been linked with the signing of Napoli midfielder, Jorginho.
