Pep Guardiola attempted to put manners on a Guardian journalist at last night's post-match press conference, after fielding one too many questions about the harsh sending off of Bastian Schweinsteiger .

Despite being clear favourites before the game, Bayern could only manage a 1-1 draw in the first leg away to Manchester United. They will seek to book a place in the last four without the services of Schweinstieger, as well as Javi Martínez, who received a second tournament yellow card.

After being asked three times if he thought the red card was unfair, journalist Jamie Jackson asked Pep a rather leading question, saying that "United were negative in crowding their box". The Bayern boss' composure slipped a little in his response.
