We've already seen some great goals this week in the Champions league alone, but the best strike of all came from the FA Cup preliminary rounds in the town of St. Neots, Cambridgeshire, last night.

Rene Stern, of St. Neots Town FC, scored this 35 yard thunderbolt against Canvey Island during their 3rd qualifying round replay. The way the ball comes down off the bar and rises up into the net is the stuff of childhood daydreams.
Despite the sensational goal from Stern, St. Neots lost the game 2-1.
