Man United have reportedly agreed personal terms with Barcelona winger Pedro as they close in on bringing the World Cup and Champions League winner to Old Trafford.

Sky Sports' Guillem Balague reports that Louis van Gaal looks to have secured his man after beating Man City and Arsenal to the 28-year-old's signature. Pedro asked to leave Barcelona last week after scoring the winner in their 5-4 extra-time win over Sevilla in the European Super Cup.

The club's are yet to agree a fee for the Spain international, his buyout clause is £21.2m and Barcelona are reportedly refusing to accept lower than that amount. United have previously said they hoped to sign Pedro for closer to £17m as the player wouldn't have a high resale value.

However, Balague has said the deal will be completed this week one way or another with Man United chief executive Ed Woodward currently in Barcelona to thrash out a deal.
