Man Utd Fans Could See The Back Of Marcos Rojo Thanks To Arsenal's Latest Movements

Despite enjoying a decent first season at Old Trafford, Argentina international Marcos Rojo quickly fell out of favour with the Old Trafford faithful following a string of ropey performances for Manchester United.

Signed by Luis Van Gaal after helping Argentina to reach the World Cup Final, Rojo was unconvincing at centre-back while he clearly struggled when deployed at left-back, and it was quickly obvious to see that he did not feature in Jose Mourinho's plans since taking over as United boss.

But now he could be on his way out, as reports in Spain claim that Valencia will use the money they are receiving by selling German defender Shkrodan Mustafi to Arsenal, to bring in Marcos Rojo with a chunk of change left over.

The reports emerged in Deporte Valenciano and suggest that Valencia owner Peter Lim's good relationship with Man Utd will make the deal straight forward, with the fee being reported at around €12.

United initially paid in the region of €20m for Rojo when he left Sporting Lisbon, but many fans of the club will not mind taking a loss, at least that is the clear consensus on twitter anyway.

Manchester United have been repeatedly linked to Monaco defender Fabinho in this window, but he is primarily a right-back, and links to central defenders have been few and far between apart from the suggestion that Raphael Varane opted to stay at Real Madrid despite interest from Mourinho after a talk with Zinedine Zidane.
