Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Mark Travers looks set for a move to Championship side Middlesbrough from Bournemouth according to reports on Monday afternoon.
According to Peter O'Rourke of Football Insider, Middlesbrough are in advanced talks to bring the 25-year-old Kildare native to the club on a loan deal.
Middlesbrough have found themselves at crisis point in the goalkeeping position over the last number of weeks, with both Sol Brynn and Seny Dieng currently sidelined through injury.
The shortage in cover has left Boro boss Michael Carrick with little choice but to strengthen his options between the sticks, with Travers top of his wish list at the moment.

Travers move to Middlesbrough makes perfect sense
The move if completed would provide Travers with much-needed game time which has proved hard to come by at Bournemouth where loan signing Kepa Arrizabalaga is freezing him out of Premier League starts.
So far this season the Irishman has made just five Premier League appearances for Bournemouth, conceding five goals and keeping one clean sheet in those games. He has started the rest of Bournemouth's games from the bench.
While the presence of Arrizabalaga looks set to keep Travers out of contention at Bournemouth, the current injury crisis in Middlesbrough could provide the perfect opportunity for Travers to get game time week in, week out, with neither of the club's first two options available.
As it stands Middlesbrough are resorting to the use of third-choice keeper Tom Glover, however, according to the reports Michael Carrick is keen to bolster his options in the crucial position and believes that Travers may be the right man for the job.
Should it transpire, the move wouldn't be Traver's first time leaving Bournemouth on Loan since he joined the club from Shamrock Rovers in 2016, with the four-time capped Irish keeper also spending time in Weymouth, Swindon Town and Stoke City.
The club are currently sitting seventh in the standings, fifteen points behind league leaders Leeds and with a significant challenge ahead of them if they're to gain promotion into the Premier League next season.
Conceding goals has proved to be particularly problematic for Carrick's men in the Championship, with his side conceding 34 goals against them, ten more than any other side above them in the table - a damning record that Carrick will be hoping Mark Travers can improve during his time at the club.
